UPDATE: Gazprom sees reasons for growth of gas exports to Europe

(Adds comments in last two paragraphs)

MOSCOW, Nov 30 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom sees reason to expect further growth of gas exports to Europe to more usual levels during the fourth quarter of 2020 and throughout 2021, Alexei Finikov, deputy head of financial and economic department, said during a conference call on Monday.

“The positive dynamics on the gas market that we have been observing in Europe in recent months give us reason to expect further recovery of exports to Europe to more usual levels during the fourth quarter and the whole next year,” Finikov said.

Gazprom’s share on the European market rose to 34% in the third quarter, he added

Andrei Zotov, a department director at Gazprom Export, said Gazprom expects its exports to Europe at 171–172 billion cubic meters in 2020.

The weighted average price of Gazprom’s supplies to Europe is expected at U.S. $128–130 per 1,000 cubic meters this year, he added.
